*Focus is to teach our kids how blessed our lives can be when we follow the gospel and find good friends to help us through life. We’d love to have you share your thoughts! Bishop Jon Tenney will be conducting.

Info I need for food:
1. Friday dinner will be the Taco Bar. Juanito’s will come and cook three different kinds of meat, rice, beans, salsas, onions, limes, homemade chips, guacamole, and quesadillas for us. Soda and water will be provided. I need a head count from your family. The cost is $9/person. (I know the Washington Boys like their Mexican food!)
2. Saturday Morning: Donuts and bagels from the BEST bakery in Corona del Mar. One of my guilty pleasures is donuts so I did a lot of research on this one! Rough estimate of what your family prefers and how many. Donuts are $9/dozen and bagels and cream cheese are $1.50 each.
3. Saturday Morning: Jamba juice will be delivering smoothies to us during our basketball tournament. How many will your family need and what is your favorite? $3.50 each for the 16 oz. size
4. Saturday Lunch: Subway will be delivering box lunches to us. You can take these to the beach or eat then whenever you get hungry. It includes a 6 inch sandwich, chips, cookie, and water. $6.00 each. The choices are their cold sandwiches (ham, roast beef, turkey, turkey/ham, and spicy Italian) – so give me your preferences.
5. Saturday Dinner: Hamburger Patty’s Gourmet Burger Party. We will have angus burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers grilled on site, five varieties of cheeses , toppings (tomatoes, Bermuda onions, dill chips, roasted peppers, relish, etc.). Add chili, guacamole, onion strings, bacon, or mushrooms . Add a sauce (mayo, ranch, honey mustard, 1000, BBQ Sauce and pick a fresh baked bun (whole wheat or regular). Fries, corn on the cob and fresh fruit will be included. The cost for this is $10 for kids and $12 for adults.
6. You can participate in all of the above, some of the above and none of the above! No worries. Just wanted to make it a little easier for all of us and keep the kiddos happy!
7. I need a headcount within the next 2 weeks of what you are planning to order and for how many. There will be a slush fund that will cover drinks, plates, utensils, cups, napkins, and desserts for the weekend. I will have a final price for that when we know exactly how many of us there are. It shouldn’t be too much. Money can come in at the beginning of May.

1. I’m putting together an address book for the kids. If you could send me a picture of each kid with basic info - name, age, address, email (?), things they like! I think it will be a fun way for them to see who is their age, get to know each other a little quicker and stay friends.
2. Any old pictures of the Washington Boys you might have hanging around (scanned and emailed).
3. An emailed family picture.
4. Is there a graphic designer ( or just some that would love to tackle this!) that would like to create a logo for t-shirts? Team Hansen will be there in full force!

Can you come?
Memorial Day Weekend in Newport Beach
( May 28, Friday to May 31,Monday)
I’m hoping it is a weekend where little league games and swim team and whatever else that keeps us busy is put on hold.
I’ve found some great deals at the Marriott Newport Villas. They have a promotional package that runs about $350 for the whole weekend. I have been calling them like crazy and they keep telling me that you can’t plan “group parties” on their promotional packages –so if you want to stay there, don’t mention that you are with any group!
We will be staying there and have done so before. It’s a great place – two full bedrooms and a full kitchen with plenty of room for sleeping bags for little ones if needed. There is a HUGE pool that the kids will LOVE. Fancy shmancy golf course is across the street and the beach is almost a walk away. The phone # to their direct line is 949-464-6471. I would also keep checking online for specials as well. They are always offering different discounts for staying there.
My thought was – and I am SO open to any other options . . .
Friday – dinner and swim, outdoor movie?
Saturday - golf for the boys – early - so we aren’t watching all the kids solo all day.
-day at the beach
-bonfire, hot dogs, smores . . .
Sunday – church at Bishop Jon Tenney’s ward - Liz – would Jon die if we all showed up?
