Memorial Day Weekend in Newport Beach
( May 28, Friday to May 31,Monday)

I’m hoping it is a weekend where little league games and swim team and whatever else that keeps us busy is put on hold.
I’ve found some great deals at the Marriott Newport Villas. They have a promotional package that runs about $350 for the whole weekend. I have been calling them like crazy and they keep telling me that you can’t plan “group parties” on their promotional packages –so if you want to stay there, don’t mention that you are with any group!

We will be staying there and have done so before. It’s a great place – two full bedrooms and a full kitchen with plenty of room for sleeping bags for little ones if needed. There is a HUGE pool that the kids will LOVE. Fancy shmancy golf course is across the street and the beach is almost a walk away. The phone # to their direct line is 949-464-6471. I would also keep checking online for specials as well. They are always offering different discounts for staying there.


My thought was – and I am SO open to any other options . . .


Friday – dinner and swim, outdoor movie?
Saturday - golf for the boys – early - so we aren’t watching all the kids solo all day.
-day at the beach
-bonfire, hot dogs, smores . . .
Sunday – church at Bishop Jon Tenney’s ward - Liz – would Jon die if we all showed up?
- Any suggestions for afternoon activities??
Monday - a Dodger game
